Con una bolsa de US$3.9 millones v\u00e1lidos para 300 puntos de la FedExCup, la m\u00e1s alta en la historia del deporte dominicano, y la participaci\u00f3n de 132 jugadores provenientes de 20 pa\u00edses y 5 continentes, Puntacana Resort anunci\u00f3 la celebraci\u00f3n de la 7ma. edici\u00f3n del Corales Puntacana Championship PGA Tour Event, a celebrarse en el campo de golf Corales, del 15 al 21 de abril de 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La informaci\u00f3 fue ofrecida en un encuentro con ejecutivos del Grupo Puntacana, socios, aliados de la marca, donde estuvieron presentes Manuel Sajour, director ejecutivo de Mercadeo de Grupo Puntacana y director del Corales Puntacana Championship; Enrique Valverde, presidente de la Federaci\u00f3n Dominicana de Golf (Fedogolf); e Hiram Silfa, director de campos de Golf en Puntacana Resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEl Corales Puntacana Championship se ha convertido en un evento insignia para Puntacana Resort. Nos llena de alegr\u00eda y orgullo continuar la tradici\u00f3n de celebrar un encuentro deportivo \u00fanico en el pa\u00eds, y que adem\u00e1s promueve a nivel mundial a la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana y a Punta Cana como un destino de golf l\u00edder en el Caribe\u201d, expres\u00f3 Sajour, director ejecutivo de Mercadeo de Grupo Puntacana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En tanto, Valverde, presidente de Fedogolf, dijo que \u201ccomo entidad reguladora del golf en la Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, reconocemos la importancia que representa para la proyecci\u00f3n internacional del turismo deportivo del pa\u00eds y para toda la comunidad golfista local, tener por 7mo. a\u00f1o consecutivo el Corales Puntacana Championship PGA TOUR Event, principal evento de golf del pa\u00eds\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al momento, han confirmado su asistencia los pasados campeones del torneo Chad Ramey (2022), Joel Dahmen (2021) y Brice Garnett (2018); as\u00ed como Nate Lashley, ganador del Korn Ferry Tour en 2017. De igual modo, participar\u00e1n los jugadores de renombre Charley Hoffman, ganador de 5 victorias del PGA TOUR y antiguo director del Consejo Asesor de Jugadores del PGA TOUR; as\u00ed como Justin Suh, Ben Martin y Adam Long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La participaci\u00f3n de Latinoam\u00e9rica ser\u00e1 representada por los jugadores Nicolas Echavarr\u00eda de Colombia; Jonathan Vegas, jugador venezolano con varios torneos ganados del PGA Tour, el puertorrique\u00f1o Rafa Campos y el dominicano Hiram Silfa. Mientras que, el talento dominicano ser\u00e1 representado por los jugadores que clasifiquen a trav\u00e9s del Tour Canita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El torneo tiene un alcance de 7.8 billones de impresiones en medios digitales e impresos a nivel nacional e internacional en 153 pa\u00edses, llegando a 7 millones de televidentes en Estados Unidos y 4 millones en Europa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transmisi\u00f3n en vivo<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El evento se transmitir\u00e1 en vivo por Golf Channel el jueves 18 y el viernes 19 de abril de 8:00 de la ma\u00f1ana a 10:00 de la ma\u00f1ana, y el s\u00e1bado 20 y domingo 21 de abril de 3:00 de la tarde a 5:00 de la tarde. A nivel local y como Media Partners, CDN Deportes estar\u00e1 realizando transmisiones desde el campo de golf Corales captando las incidencias del evento, y el domingo 21 de abril estar\u00e1n transmitiendo en vivo la ceremonia de premiaci\u00f3n a las 5:00 de la tarde. Mientras que, Diario Libre estar\u00e1 realizando cobertura especial a nivel impreso y digital, y Ritmo Social a nivel de revista y entretenimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
